To continue my birthday weekend celebration Matt and I spent some time with my mom, his family, and went to the Manayunk Arts Fest for a stroll. We ended up having a late lunch at Bourbon Blue, an old favorite. I had a Hurricane, and then another... they are yummy.

As a start to my birthday celebration weekend, I met up with some friends to go to the Drag Show at Bob and Barbara's. It was an experience.

Today I finally painted something that I like in painting class. The assignment was to paint a landscape from a photograph that you had taken. I decided to use a picture that I took at sunset in Laos. The picture is the small one on the bottom and my painting is the bigger version on the top.

I saw Spring Awakening at the Academy of Music today with Jess and Katherine, I also decided that this summer I will try sushi, the cooked kind. Although I didn't try it today. I ordered what Katherine calls the happy meal of japan, chicken strips with rice. It was delicious though.
